Make good decisions when renting inflatables
When you rent an inflatable there should be a number of things that you consider before making this important decision for your kids party that you are hosting. It is a very important decision not only to make your kids happy, but also to make sure your kids are the safest they can possibly be.
Here is a list of things that you should do when renting inflatables:
1. Find an inflatable rental company. There are many great ways to find some really good inflatable rental companies. One of the best ways is the internet. There really is not a more effective way to find a great list of companies to rent from. There are party rental directory websites all over the internet that can help you find a company to rent from.
2. Check online reviews for your selected company. Online reviews for a party rental company can tell you a lot about their performance in past parties. Look for companies not only with positive reviews, but also with a large quantity. Chances are that if a person took the time out to write a review, they had a good experience.
3. Get an explanation of all the fees, delivery charges, and taxes. Be sure that when you rent you get your party rental company to explain all the fees up front. If you don’t you may be hit with an unexpected fee upon delivery. You may think that this could never happen but it does every single day. This is really a bait-and-switch tactic. What happens is that a customer will be quoted a really low rental rate on the phone or internet. Then when the delivery happens the company will not set up unless an additional fee is paid. This is very dishonest, but it happens on a regular basis. Get everything in writing up front.
4. Pay a deposit. Once the price is agreed upon, pay your rental company a deposit. This should reserve your equipment for your specific party date. Leaving a deposit withe company is a great idea. Not only does it give the company assurance that you are going to follow through on your party date, but it also gives you assurance that your equipment is reserved. The last thing you want is the company to call and cancel on you at the last possible moment.
5. Confirm delivery times with your party rental company. They should be able to give you a delivery time that is accurate a day or two before your party. Just understand that the party rental company probably has many other deliveries to make during the day, so a morning delivery and evening pick up is probably going to work best for them. Be flexible on the delivery and take down times and you may get a couple hours of bouncing time for free!
When you do find a great inflatable rental company, stick with them! Write a good online review for them and help them get other customers. In the party rental industry it is very difficult to make a name for yourself, so positive reviews really help the brand image.
