High Peak Frame Tents
Written on March 24, 2011 at 9:03 pm, by admin
Over the years there have been many advancements in the party tent industry. The most recent advancement in the tent rental industry is the very elegant-looking high peak frame tent.
High peak frame tents get their name from their appearance. They have a “high peak” and are a frame structure, which gives the tent its clean look. As you can see from the picture below, high peak frame tents have very tight lines and a nice, pointed top.

High peak tents come in many different sizes, however the most popular sizes are 10′x10′ and 20′x20′ frame tents. They typically come in 10′ widths, but you can also find them in 15′ widths.
You can add side wall sections to high peak frame tents in order to have more of an enclosed, room-type area. This is often nice if the sun is setting, or if it is really windy. (Frame tents can typically take higher wind loads than regular pole tents.)
The next time you are looking to rent a party tent, make sure you consider the latest trend, the high peak frame tent.

How to Promote a School Fundraiser
Written on February 16, 2011 at 8:28 pm, by admin
You’ve got a great fundraiser idea for your school lined up and ready to go! Perhaps you have a great fundraising vendor lined up or a great product ready to sell to students and parents as a fundraiser. How do you tell your parents and student about the item or service you are using to raise money for your school?
Marketing and promoting your school fundraiser can be a daunting experience. What good is the fundraiser if you don’t raise any funds! Here are some tips for promoting a school fundraiser effectively.
1. It starts with the students
The students need to be excited to sell the product or service you are using to raise money for the school. The students are often times your sales team. Have you ever been to a car dealership or retail store with unmotivated sales people? It can often times deter you from purchasing a product. Students need to be educated and excited to sell the fundraiser product. Have an assembly in your gym to hype the product to the students. Explain what you are trying to do with the fundraiser.
Maybe you are raising money for a playground or another improvement that the students really care about. Whatever it is you need to incentivize the students. Incentives for student fundraisers often times come in the form of tiered prizes for each individual depending on how much they sell.
Have you considered offering incentives for different groups or classes? Consider offering a party as an incentive for the class that sells the most product. What better prize is there for a kid than a half day off school and a bounce house or inflatable party. You could even offer a bigger party the more the kids sell.
2. The parents spend the money
Many times parents learn about fundraisers through a flier that is sent home with the kids. How many times do you think those fliers get lost in the fray of all the homework that comes home? Is there a better way to promote fundraisers to the adults? Many adults are plugged in to social networks. Does your PTO have a Facebook Fan Page? Does your PTO have a twitter account? These two electronic tools can be very effective. Email blasts and a mass phone message can also be very effective.
Let the adults know what you are selling and more importantly what the fundraiser money will be used for. Often times PTO’s forget to mention what the money will be used for. Adults will be more willing to purchase a product and donate money when they know where the money is going.
Focus on the students and the parents when promoting a school fundraiser. These are the only two parties who can make your fundraiser successful. Remember, it’s all about exciting the kids and informing the adults.
Mechanical Bull – The Latest School Carnival Craze?
Written on December 1, 2010 at 8:15 pm, by admin
Ever since we have purchased our mechanical bull we have received many different and unique rental requests for this item. We purchased the bull in order to cater to events such as graduation parties, corporate events, and other more adult-oriented events. There has been a surprising trend lately that has surprised us. More and more schools are opting for a mechanical bull rental for their school carnival.
Traditionally when you think of a mechanical bull you think of a bar or perhaps another type of adult-oriented party. This just simply is not the case anymore. Many of the traditional bull styles were violent, causing the riders to be violently thrown from the bull. Upon being thrown from the bull, many of the participants would be tossed onto foam or even the ground.
As detailed in a previous blog post about mechanical bulls for little kids, the major bull manufacturers have realized that bulls are not just for little kids any more. This is a great advancement in the mindset of the amusement industry. Not only are bulls a huge attention getter at events, but they are also extremely safe!
So what about safety? We’ve all heard horror stories about how bulls have caused injuries and even deaths in extreme situations. Most of these incidents happened in situations where there was heavy alcohol consumption involved or improper supervision and staffing. Many of these incidents also happen on older bulls that are not designed for casual bull riders. With the recent advancements in bull safety, incidents have decreased significantly and mechanical bulls can now be enjoyed by all.
School carnivals are a great atmosphere for a mechanical bull rental. Whenever we bring a bull to a school it is always the most popular ride for the kids, teens, and adults. Our trained staff provides each and every rider with a memorable riding experience that they will remember for many years to come. They typically don’t buck off every rider, as they are trained to give everyone a good riding experience, not falling experience.
The next time you are planning a school carnival, perhaps you should consider a mechanical bull rental. It really is the latest and greatest craze amongst kids, teens, and schools.
