How to Clean an Inflatable Jumper
Inflatable jumpers go through a lot of abuse from kids at parties. As soon as kids see the giant inflatable jumper they go absolutely nuts! The run over to the jumper, climb on, and start jumping as soon as they possibly can. Needless to say, the jumpers go through a lot.
As an inflatable operator, one must take into consideration how to clean and sanitize an inflatable. If the inflatables are not cleaned and sanitized, the units will not be in good enough shape to rent safely. The rental company should also take into consideration that if the jumpers are not cleaned they may age sooner and possibly not last as long as a unit that is well maintained.
As an inflatable renter, one should ask their possible party rental company how they clean and sanitize their jumpers. Many inflatable companies clean their inflatables with a simple cleaning mixture of Simple Green, Odoban, and water. This mixture is great because the Simple Green acts as the cleaning agent and the Odoban acts as a sanitizer. It is a very effective cleaning solution that is cheap and effective.
When cleaning an inflatable, an easy way to clean is to use simply a spray bottle for the Simple Green/Odoban solution with a small rag. Simply spray copious amounts of the solution onto the inflatable and wipe it down with a rag. When cleaning, it is best to work in a shaded or non-direct sunlit area, as heat and sunlight may cause the solution to evaporate before you can even wipe down the unit. This may cause water spots. If you are not able to clean in a shaded area, simply spray smaller sections and wipe quickly.
Cleaning and sanitizing inflatables is one of the most important parts of being an inflatable operator. It makes a big difference in the eyes of the consumer, as not every business does clean their jumpers. Make sure that if you are looking to rent a jumper in your city, that you ask the operator if they do this simple but vital step in their inflatable business!
